Sunday, March 16, 2008 SADLY, THE WINNER IS...So, after spending almost
a year traveling on and off for "Such A Voice", I've had some fun on the plane watching what people are reading. You would hope most people
would be reading US News and World Report or National Geographic but sadly, this couldn't be further from the truth.
Of all the flights I've been on, "People" is the winner and I couldn't be more sad about it. It's
no wonder Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton are more popular than Picasso and Gandhi. I have to look away and chuckle
in embarrassment. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for a guilty pleasure or two but come on! I mean,
90% of the people on these flights were reading "People"!! Personally? I'd rather read the vomit
bag.
